SUMMARY
I designed Cycle Sentry, a monitoring dashboard for smart cycle security and usage tracking, inspired by frequent cycle thefts on campus. Under a focused one-week sprint, I developed a high-fidelity interface that combines real-time alerts, location tracking, and ride analytics—enabling users to both secure their cycles and monitor daily activity.
The project strengthened my ability to design for high-stakes scenarios—prioritizing clarity, urgency, and rapid user response while maintaining a clean and structured interface for continuous monitoring.
PRODUCT STRATEGY & UX
Defined a dual-purpose experience balancing security and fitness tracking. Structured the interface to handle two critical states normal monitoring and threat detection with clear visual differentiation and immediate feedback.
Designed the information hierarchy to surface critical alerts instantly, while organizing secondary data like battery, movement, and ride stats into a consistent and scannable layout. Mapped user interactions to ensure quick access to emergency actions such as remote lockdown and alarm triggering.
DESIGN & EXECUTION
Designed a complete high-fidelity dashboard system, including real-time monitoring, alert states, and activity logs. Built a consistent component structure for telemetry data, alerts, and controls, ensuring clarity across both passive and active states.
Made high-visibility alert systems using color, typography, and layout to distinguish between secure and critical conditions, enabling users to instantly understand system status and take action when required.
